In fact, a recent Digital Consumer Report estimates that 65% of Americans owned a smartphone in 2013—which is up from 44% in 2011. This shift in technology has greatly influenced how consumers spend their time and how they would like to receive information. How has the energy industry embraced the digital and social world?
